I guess it depends upon your bandwidth re: simultaneous searches.
I rarely do it myself with the same concern but my bandwidth is small.

Yes, sometimes you find people have files you searched for but didn't come up in the search results, but only after you browsed someone with similar files. Sometimes this is due to their files not being properly labelled or lacking id3 tags or appropriate tags. Likewise if you vary your search criteria, you can find more results.

If I browse someone with lots of files I'm after, I'll make a note of their ip & later use that to try to direct connect (on another day.) BTW browsing can also help to re-continue stalled downlds (as can direct connecting.) But ignore those with ip's that start with 192 as that means they're not properly configured & your chances of direct connecting are minimal if not impossible. But DC & browsing can depend upon whether there's bandwidth & slots available from you & them. It may also depend upon net traffic ... too many variables. Also firewall issues.

You've probably already seen or know many of these ideas, but here's some more tips: See the following link & follow “ALL” the off-shoot links to find hints & extra skills to help solve your problem: To continue files downlding (click on link) I hope this helps anyway. Someone else may add more suggestions.
