Mike ... Chat will work if you are very lucky, the other party has chat enabled, there are no Firewall or slot issues, and of course the other party happens to be sitting at his computer when you post, so all in all, it is a fairly hopeless feature.
If you enable chat, it increases the chance that you can be browsed, and that is why a lot of people enable it. (Don't ask me the reason for this
