What most newbies don't seem to realise is that LW libraries are just a different representation of looking at windows explorer's files and folders (files and directories). So when you delete from the library you are actually permanently deleting a file from a folder/directory, and those deleted files do not go to the windows waste bin.
So, depending on how long ago you deleted those files, your best bet is to follow Hobo's advice. But, if I read your posting correctly, you deleted these files "a week or two ago" meaning that your chance of getting them back is somewhere around zero.
