That's normal. LW Basic = max of 8 hosts & I've heard LW Pro a max of 10 hosts.
The reason for this is to keep as many open upload slots as possible to help other people both connect to the network & for getting a downld started. eg: If LW were able to downld with 100 hosts, then that would be 92 slots unavailable for other people to connect to. ie: It keeps the network working fast & downlds quick to connect to. Some other networks you end up queued for hours on end b/c they don't have such conventions. WinMX was such an example.
