LW will attempt to redownld that portion where it detects any corruption up to 6 times before it gives up. Sometimes it's worth doing this because on the alternate efforts to redownld the last part, it can be acceptable/successful by LW which suggests some missing bits of data be they as small as 1 bit or byte. But then sometimes it goes thru all 6 times without success. But that still doesn't mean it can't be used. But that depends on what type of corruption it is. (Oh other reasons for corruption ... old & unreliable modem/router, poor connections with cable, unreliable transmission (high packet loss of data) due to ISP over transmission lines. There's prolly more reasons also.)
