Let's start from the basics; User Guide: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/userguide.shtml

You have different types of searches you can do. Any Type, Audio, Video, etc. The specific type searches will filter those types of files.

If you're searching for a particular type of file, you have the choice of using that type of search or an Any Type search. Sometimes using the Any Type search will bring in more results. Keep in mind some people label their shared files differently or mis-label them. With an Any Type search, you can click on the audio or video, etc. filter to show just those types of search results. Then press on Artist & album you're after, etc. to show more specific items in your results that have arrived.

If you're looking for a particular artist, you can just search that artist & see what results you get. What your after may show up. If not, you can browse each of the sources to see if they have more files of that artist or more files of that type of music or video, etc.

Try to choose files to downld that have 3 or 4 stars (which represents chances of a good connection) & many sources under the # column. This will increase your chances of a successful downld. Keep in mind, what's available is what people are sharing. And some people use LW only at certain times. People from all over the world use gnutella & LW. Some leave their LW running whilst they're asleep or at work/school, etc.

Don't make your searches too specific. It will give you less chance of finding them. You can start specifically & gradually make it more general or the other way around, make it a general search initially ...

Here's an example of how to find what you're looking for: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...light=m%2Atrix

Things to be wary of:
1. Ignore files less than 2 MB (2,000 KB) in size. Most files less than this are usually spam or viruses. See (a) autogenerated mp3 spam results, & also (b) WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!

2. Porn. Direct instructions to eliminate porn from results

3. More tips: See the following link & follow “ALL” the off-shoot links to find hints & extra skills to help solve your problem: To continue files downlding (click on link)

4. I forgot to mention, be aware of this: License requirement (click on link)

I hope this helps!
