That's good. There's a much better player around
VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) which has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable. It can do most things WMP can do & a lot more. See what it can do here
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html You can also downld extra skins. It is fundamentally a video player but can also play a large no. of audio formats. It's also good for both audio & video streaming such as radio.
BTW if you upgraded to wmp 10, I think there's a trick to it. You need to downld wmp 10 specific codecs I think I can't remember. Some people reverted to version 9.
