Is there a UPnP switch on the outside of the device? If yes, turn it on. If not, log into the device using your browser & see if there's any UPnP options (Universal Plug & Play). If not, then I suspect you'll need to manually port forward the device. See intructions here:
1. Set up a Static ip. (see instructions in point #2 below) But make sure you get this step right, b/c this is where mistakes are generally made if any are made.
2. Forward a port for 6346 as described here:
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...G/Limewire.htm
Make sure you save changes & see whether you need to reboot the device. Some brands or models do need this but I'm not sure about actiontec. If you have a modem manual, give it a check over.
3. Within LW:
Manual port forward instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that. Both manual port forward port & listening port should be the same in this case.
Also make sure your firewall is configured: Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other);
Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)
If it still doesn't connect after 30 mins, then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is
closed; instructions here:
Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.) & then repeat step #3 above.
