Salut the_onlineman, we have our reasons, mainly user friendlyness and bandwidth.

First, users who keep up to date with us have to download the program often. Since FW is 5MB and Java 1.5 is 16MB (3 times more than FW itself), that would be 21MB download: what a waste of bandwidth as well as time for those who have already java 1.5...

Also, those who have older Java (or no Java) get the newest version without trouble.

Of course you can always download and install the latest Java before downloading FrostWire.
