Players? Video or audio?

VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) as it has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable. Can play audio & video streaming. Can downld extra skins or create your own. Can play many audio formats also although it's fundamentally a video player. And is an open source program. Formats it can play http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html

Audio players: 1. dBpowerAMP, - 2. WinAmp, - 3. Quintessential (QCD), - 4. iTunes

1. Very good player. 2. Also VG, can also be used to play video. 3. Has in-built codecs & is an open source program. 4. Can also play video. Good for iPod. Unlike the above players, it creates its own music library so there's much less chance of accidental loss of music. Arranges its music library on the HDD via Artist>Album.
