Unhappy RUNTIME ERROR 429 - ACTIVE X cant run... (HOW DO YOU UNINSTALL GNOTELLA?)

I downloaded Gnotella 9.8 and tried to run it, and after selecting all the preliminary options (what type of modem I have, where to put downloaded files) and push OK, it says "RUNTIME ERROR 429 - ACTIVE X cant run..." What is going on here??? Incidentally, I did have Gnotella 9.7 installed previously, and saw the note that said I should uninstall the old Gnotella before installing the new one (this may very well be the problem), but didnt see any "UNINSTALL" file in Gnotella, so how would I do this? Thanx for your input!
