Ifr You are using Nero 7 and you had Nero 6 installed before. It's very important that you have completely uninstalled Nero 6. If you have installed nero 7 then remove that as well and reinstall.
Then restart before doing abything else

google nero cleantool and exucute them both.

Then reinstall. Do both a driver test and disktest. From that you will get a recommended speed
