Make a very loud noise at Optimum. But politely usually works best. But be incessant to the point with them. The technicians are probably the ones who can change things. People who answer on the phone initially probably won't know about this or what to do. They'll probably give any excuse to get you off the phone.

You'll also find posts by a member of Optimum. You might be able to get some ideas from there also. Most of this was happening around December I think.
