If the extensio nis AVI, then download the lates DivX codec and player, install them and then turn off "Use limewire player as default"
Either that or
1. Hit the Preview button
2. When it falls over open the DivX player
3. Open the relevant preview file in your incomplete folder

this will generally play them.
