I guess you could downld the "Other" version listed here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml
All you do is unzip it & use it.
But I don't know why your LW isn't seeing your Java. You did install the JRE java right & not another version? And version 1.5 & not 1.3 or other?

If still problems with the Java after that, I guess uninstall the Java & try version 1.4.2 (take the JRE)
