CRAP Thanks for the hint - I'll go look into it.
The only thing that concerns me is that it appears that we have to go elsewhere, in order to check on the credentials of a particular download. I would like to think that all the information was there in front of me before I attempt a download. Even if it was a 1 character field, that if there is any outside comment, ( ie - This file contains a virus. This mov is blank. This movie is "Lex the Impaler" etc.)
I have not been active for long enough to make a true observation, but I do feel that there is a dramatic increase in CRAP. I would not let my kids use LIMEWIRE to collect songs, because of the high number of corrupted items being presented as a search result. In most instances you ask how it could have been chosen by search, because it has nothing to do with the subject.
If dilligent and fair people inserted comments, then perhaps that same field could be used to bar access without a master password. Nothing will ever be 100%. It would at least be a start.
PS - Bitzi - I don't find a link to anything thus called on LIMEWIRE, so even if it exists elsewhere, what use is it, if it can't give instant information on potential downloads? It is like saying - "You can read the Forum!"
LIMEWIRE is a fantastic facility but it appears to be in the process of being hijacked by cyber-terrorists and deviants and commercial sellers
