Hey thanks for the reply, but I just don't understand. I haven't used Verbatim and Maxell though, I've only used TDK and Memorex. I've only used CD-Rs, so that's not it. Well, it's a good thing I saved my other little system. That plays 3 CDs anyway. The new gizmo only plays one at a time. It just really bugs me. With all the crap that manufacturers are putting in their products, you just never know. Maybe that's why the Venturer was from a liquidation and I got it for next to nothing.

I'm still open to suggestions - anyone wanna buy a home theater system cheap??!
