Not quite sure what your getting at

I suppose it all depends what forums and P2P software your friends use.
Including Limewire (of course!) if they are using Bearshare or even Morph (only seen it the once though) they should be able to access the Gnutella network.

Of course if your friends are on a different network, best to find out what software they use.

Also, I strongly suggest that you have a click through the options screen (don't need to change anything just yet!), just to get an idea of what you can alter, and what options you have got available. It will come in handy when you start organising your dwnlds (and you will) and need to redirect limewire to your new folders.
