You should have downloaded a dmg file. which should be on your desktop. opening this will give you the Limewire programme etc in a new folder, If you download with a different browser than Safari you may well have problems.
This is a wild guess since apart from the fact that I guess you are a Mac user , I have no idea about anything else ... so some details of your system OS etc would be more than helpful
