The best burner softw out there for Mac is & always has been Toast. The latest version is 7.
Don't forget you have iMovie & iDVD, though they're probably a little limited as to what you can import into them. Toast makes it all too easy.
Some tips for downlding videos:
Movie download issues
For burning, it's best to do some test runs using cd-rw or dvd-rw 1st. At least until you get a hang for using the program & settings, etc. For Toast: Read the manual! That's important. Don't be lazy not to read it. Also visit the Roxio site for info such as the FAQ.
BTW if you want to check or watch videos you downld on your computer, get
VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) as it's the most reliable player for either windows or mac OSX since it has in-built codecs. To see what it can do, see
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html It can play VCD'c, DVD's, stream video or audio content from the net, etc.
BTW apple support will rarely help with such issues. And especially anything to do with 3rd party programs. They will help with what comes with your computer but mostly only re: system & hardware issues.
