Thanks birdy, I wouldn't mind to re PG, but now, I would also like anyways to be shure first that he's doing not only hes job, but also the job of the default Mac firewall, since it appears that he does put it of when he installs him self (I didn't know that, but LM tells me some time that it doesn't detect a fire wall... and, when PeeGuardian is on post, The system pref pannel tells me that the Fire Wall is of, since there is another one on)... apart of that, how do you choose what to let in or out with PG, since there is no interface, and it's sort of hidden in different places (mostly, lib/app support, and lib/startupItems)... is there a way to open one of those files (he works directly in the terminal), and to add or remove some data ?... and, if I succed in so doing, since he's updating every 12 hrs, wouldn't I have to start each time changing his lists?... I know, it would be a pain (I wouldn't say where) to have to install and de-install each time to go to the forum, but not more then to have to include every 12 hrs an authorization for http... but wait a minute, thinking of it now, how should it block only gnutella forum, and none of the others: eDonkey, Macjunkie, etc... they are, all of them http, with no mention even of my mail box, and I aint no prob with'hem!
Thanks anyway. |
