I entirely agree with Grandpa, your geeks cannot fix the problem because they have no idea what it is. Back in the dim and distant past, when I used to work on PCs and faced with a similar problem, I would go through a trial and error process to find out what the problem was and then come up with a solution, not fob the user off with techno-babble.

Anyway, I have also had the dreaded BSOD, in the recent past, when using LW and that tended to be an incompatibility between the video driver and LW. I cured the problem by downloading and installing the latest drivers for my video card.

In order to do this you have to find out what video card or onboard video set-up your PC is using then go to the video manufacturer’s web site and download the latest drivers for your PC.
