It might be worth checking what d/l speed you are actually getting at a site like http://www.dslreports.com/stest where you can get this measured. and also try downloading a file from http://magnetmix.com/ and see what speed that gives you. But always remember your speed is dependant on the upload speed of the other host. It is also possible that your isp is keeping p2p use throttled to a degree, and that is something they will not freely admit to....
