Mine does the same thing. When it shows the 2 music notes, it's using the limewire icons, and when it shows the wmp icon it is showing the player you have set as default to handle that type of file.
I don't know why it does that, but mine will switch between the two. It is only cosmetic and doesn't seem to affect the way LW works or launching files. I've tried deleting LW pref folder and deleted java and LW and reinstalled. But it still does it.
