I cut down my shared files from 2k to 45 (was searching for specific vids, so I shared the ones I had to make sure I didn't dupe the files).

I no longer lose ALL my memory and I do NOT experience a slow down.

I do not enjoy sharing only a few files, but I will until LW fixes their memory issues.
