Yes that is possibly the reason. Make sure you chose Audio format & not mp3 or data format. Also make sure you used a CD-R & not a CD-RW.
Also beware of some of the very cheap cd-r brands. Some of those made in places like china or Taiwan are simply not good enough. I'd recommend choosing a reknown brand, at least until you get this problem sorted out. You could also check your model of burner to see whether it has any preferencial treatment of cd-r brands. Whilst that's not so common nowadays, it does still happen with some burners in that they don't burn too well with some brands of cd-r.
Will the disk you already burnt play on the computer or DVD player? Some dvd players can play mp3 disks & can also play audio cd's burnt onto cd-rw. But that's not a preferable thing to do unless that is specifically what you want to do. |
