The patch has been around for a while but it doesn't really make a difference until you get up into the 100s of KB/s. The thing that most likely mad a difference is the port forwarding to port 64049. When you did this and got more bandwidth it tells me that your ISP is most likely blocking or filtering the lower ports. Or your UPnP wasn't working correctly. Now if you want to find out if your ISP is blocking or filtering set your router to port forward to 6346 and limewire to port 6346. If your bandwidth drops down again you will know it is your ISP. If it doesn't then it was the configuration of you UPnP.
