My immediate thoughts are your ISP (internet service provider) is shaping p2p sharing bandwidth. They can detect it using special programs which can also limit their bandwidth. I believe that's what's happening with you. Who is your isp?
Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? (see sample attached image below by clicking it!)
Try an experiment, try downlding a magnet link & tell us what happens ... such as what speeds it gets, how well it connects, etc. Go here & choose a file:
