Red means they're not being shared. Renaming files will also cause this. Also can if they are of a type you don't allow to share. Or of new downloads when you have set LW not to share downloads immediately.

If any of the files in the incomplete folder are red, it has a different meaning. It means they have lost their association with their partner in the download window.
