It was actually me who suggested to instal the jre-1_5_0_05-windows-i586-p.exe, since I suspect that your machine doesn't like the _06.
LOTR just wanted you to understand that your ISP maybe has started to reduce the amount of data you're able to download (or upload, or both).
As for the Java, make sure you've all other versions deleted from your system, before installing the _05. It's a try my friend........it might work, or it won't....
