Your download speed limit is connected to your internet connection speed. A 56k modem translates to 5-6 KB/s.........so, the pro version won't be able to make that faster.
Whether you will get more hosts to connect to, I'm not sure, but I believe it wouldn't have an impact on your download speed anyway.
