DoomThree is flying high

Hi Foolofthehill!
I figured out what was going on by accident. Here is the skinny I figured out. When I try to open a WMV file of approximately 1000+ kb the file tries to open Internet Explorer and access sites to get the DRM to play the file. It shows up in my play list as "AAAAAAAAAAAAA" followed by the message "free porn...". The "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA" is Media GO's way of saying "some looser file is trying to access the internet." Trend Micro PCCILLIN then tells IE "Hey jerk! NO POPUPS!" to the browser and blocks the site from opening with the warning message, "This site has attempted to open a popup but it has been blocked, check information bar above for more options," and since I know that I have no interrest in opening any popups I click the red "x box" of O.F.F. in the upper right hand corner of my browser. The "AAAAAAAAAA" had me freaked out because many fears raced through me like "Rootkit" and even worst, "Key Logger" with dial out capacity. I could not find "AAAAAAAAAAA" because it is a file within the 1000kb mwv files and as soon as I deleted the ones causing the "AAAAAAAA" to appear in Media GO's play list the problem went away. Go figure. Sometimes simple deduction wins out. Thankfully I am no complete novice but I wish I knew how to program with any reasonable amount of skill. I am just a power user who knows hardware reasonably well but I admit again I am no expert at all. I hope this information is useful to anyone having the same sort of difficulty trying to figure out why some form of wierdness is plaging them with no apparent answer or solution.
Well, back into the fog...
