yah I think we get the idea, we just dont like it. the only people who seem to benefit from ultra-peers are modem users. I don't think that those of us with good bandwidth gain any benefits at all. I personally believe we would be better off by somehow getting modems off the gnet, making it an all broadband network.
I dont hate people with modems, I mean we all can't afford broadband, I understand this. But I pay the extra for a bigger pipe, so maybe I should have the option of accessing a network with others of comparable bandwidth.
Perhaps a client could separate high and low bandwidth onto two seperate handshakes. gnutella and gnutella light?
Anyway I dont mean to frag on anyone, this is just an idea K?
