If you're trying to download new releases or really popular files, you might be seeing fake files! These typically have heaps of sources (up to 100) but will sit connecting forever & then just go to 'need more sources'. If this is the case, search again. Vary your search terms. Stay away from the files with huge numbers of sources, go for files with 10 sources or less (which it sounds like you've done).
