Uninstall LW and all Java versions you have. Then download the JRE offline installer from the newest Java version:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

Install it and then reinstall LW.

If that doesn't do the trick, try to delete your " .limewire " preference folder as described here (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire):
