Default Limewire in KMenu--Still No LimeWire

Hello peoples!!

Im a noob and Ive done some idiotic things in the console.
First is did:
Matthew:/home/matthew # rpm -i LimeWireLinux.rpm
and this did not produce the string of chinese Ive become used to, but for some reason LimeWire showed up in my KMenu. I clicked on it and nothing.
so then I tried:
Matthew:/home/matthew # rpm -Uvh --nodeps LimeWireLinux.rpm
and it said Preparing.... ooh!! LimeWire already installed.

I think I have a problem with my Java. I believe I installed it in the wrong directory last week. /usr/lib/.... It works in Firefox.

I also have a similar problem with azureus. Azureus will kind of start but not with its pretty interface.

Questions:
Was it necessary to do su and password to install LimeWire? [Noober]
Is Java in the correct directory? Would that matter? [Noob]
Do I need the alien thing (A perl script for adapting packages) I read about on another post? [Geez]
What do I do? [Adventures in Noobland]
