That's a very sweet explanation Dreamtech. But you seem to have overlooked the fact that the user can play (and hear) other files already on their system.....
For me it seems to be clear that the user has a codecs issue, either not the right ones installed ot those installed being corrupted due to an abundance of codecs......
In either way, making a test with the VLC player (which has built-in codecs and doesn't have to rely on the WMP codecs) will certainly clear the picture....
