Must admit that you could get more accirate advise from someone else here, but I think there are settings in your modem/router on how long to keep an open connection when idle

Try searching on google (make and model + open connection) or something like that or look in your manual for settings that affect this

BTW this is only if you have never done anything but browse the internet before trying limewire for the first time (you didn't specify)
