It came to our attention that the network size was being undercounted. I knew that our 10 minute crawl was limiting the size but not by how much. We now crawl until the whole network is covered which gives a better estimate.

The numbers are still underestimated. Leaf nodes are not counted right now. Also, some busy LimeWire's may not be counted either. We will be fixing these issues shortly.
