How are you trying to uninstall? Don't use add/remove programs. The right way is via start > all programs > LW > use the uninstall option. Another option is to download & install a new version of LW (this should automatically uninstall the previous version) & then uninstall using the correct method. Or, you could use your computer's search to find all LimeWire files & folders & delete things manually!

What do you mean when you say that you "can't get it to do a thing"... is it not loading, not connecting, not searching, not downloading... help us out by giving some info

Do you have an official version of LW? Did you get it from www.limewire.com?
