Hmm AOL, reknown for problems with LW.

Re-do your firewall settings for XP: Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

Do you have any advanced settings for AOL. I do know they offer special security, etc. Amongst them may be an external firewall, & also a spyware program that's not compatible with LW.
