If you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface then it means you have a firewall problem. Only "a few" people would be able to upload from you using a Push technique, but even that doesn't always work depending on the firewall scenario. 1st, only have one software firewall active. Then enable LW for this firewall;

If you're running a high-speed modem/router then there's an extreme chance it will have an internal NAT firewall. If it supports UPnP then simply enable UPnP on the device. You'd need to telnet into the device to do that. Else, if it doesn't support UPnP then port forward. So it might sound like a lot of work at 1st look, but it doesn't really take that long to do & is worth it in the long-run. See the UPnP section in part 2 of 1st post here

Dash double-posted huh!? I was about to edit in, the best way to share files to friends is using magnet links;
How to use Magnet Links & Direct Connect. But being properly firewall configured greatly helps in this regard. BTW to make files easily findable is to use the description function or the id3 tag options in your audio programs. Describe option can be applied to different types of files. These tags make the file easier to find in searches.
