Whenever you use your work setup you have to go through your work's firewall and that firewall has a log which will record everything you do.

No, just that no restrictions have been placed on your computer.

They will know when you logged on to the work system, what sites you have visited (in LW case the IP addresses of the PCs/servers you have logged onto) and the type and volume of data you have downloaded. However, no one is likely to check or care since you are using your own PC. The only problem you will have, and cause your work's IT people to start checking the logs, is if they receive a request from the authorities because you are downloading something that is obviously illegal or your are using your work's network to download hundreds of MP3s.
