Did you update your Java?

To delete the prefs folder: Start by going (in Windows) tools > folder options > view > show hidden files & folders > apply > ok. That's to double check that you do have hidden files & folders showing, cos the prefs folder is hidden.

Now go start > my computer > local disk(C) > documents and settings > your name > application data. Once you're in there, you should see a folder called LimeWire. That's the one you have to delete.
