For OSX, the LW preferences are found under the LimeWire name at top of menu bar next to apple icon. Keyboard short-cut is apple command - comma (⌘ ,)

Most likely the problem is your device. Follow birdy's advice about telnetting into it using your browser. You will find a UPnP option there somewhere which should be enabled. Save settings. Then restart LW.
