Ww. That's a respectable speed! I reckon you should have your speed setting at T3 and have the cursor between 90 and 99% and in theory (but don't get too excited
) should be capable of downloads of round about 300KBps ( remember the big difference between Kbps ans KBps) I have worked this out from the measurements that the Limewire Preferences show, and they may not be accurate. Set on unlimited you might get a speed aproaching 500KBps
There are two things, among others, that will stop this sort of speed however and these are the speed of the hosts you upload from, most of whom will have a much lower speed, and even if you have 12?-14 of them (depending on whether you have Basic or Pro) In truth you will get a lower speed.
The other is your isp (Internet service Provider) who may not allow you to use your maximum speed on p2p operation, and we have found that it is this which causes slow speeds for many.
