If you really want to use the LW player, try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's closed. It's points 2 & 3 in the thread below

Remember, it's a hidden folder so you'll have to show hidden files & folders to see it. Deleting the preferences will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back & reset things afterwards.
