Awaiting sources means it's already tried but the sources aren't available. That's of course if they aren't fake files in the 1st place.
Recognising fake files
LW doesn't automatically keep searching for sources because doing such would over-work the network & slow it down to a crawl. The traffic would be immense. It's an agreed Gnutella protocol not to.
The best way to find sources is to individually search for them; a separate search for each file that needs more sources.
