Question What file should I convert MP3's/WMA's so that they'll play on a regular CD Player?

Hi to all!
Was just wondering what converter I should use to decode audio MP3'S or WMA's etc, so that I can burn them to CD (in Windows media player) so that they will play on a regular CD player.
There are loads of converters on the internet but i'm not sure what file to convert them into as there are so many... I just want it to play like a regular CD.
I did burn some OGG files (these were already in OGG format and free to the public and legal) straight to CD on windows media player ages ago (before I knew that there were different files types)and they played fine on my CD player.... Is this the file type i need to convert to?
Maybe sum1 cud suggest a good free converter?
Thanks!
