Hello to all. I'm new here at the Gnutella Forums, but not new to the internet. I took a look at the site from the initial post, FilesharingCenter. Interesting things can be found in their TOS, such as ... "TERMS OF SERVICE 1. FileSharingCenter makes no claim to ownership or proprietary interest in any of the websites and/or software it recommends. We do not re-sell or license software downloaded from other sites. " If I'd been directed there from a search engine listing them as a site for Limewire, that paragraph alone would have been enough to keep my credit card in my pocket. If they state that they don't "re-sell" software......ummmm,well, just what did you think you were paying for? Folks, you can really help yourselves by reading the Terms of Service, on ANY site requiring membership, especially if one must PAY for the membership. Read carefully, and read the fine print on the signup page as well. I know this won't help the fellow whose card was already charged, but hopefully others can benefit from this.   |
